Dear Marilyn and Will,

As chairperson of Franklin Square’s Trip Committee, I would like to thank you for the wonderful time we had on May 19, 2010.  Thanks to Vickie who has to deal with me.  She is wonderful!!!

Our group loves Laura Roth, especially me. All I have to say is “Laura will be performing”, and everyone wants to go.  Her mix of comedy and singing is wonderful.  Of course, all of our 50 odd female eighty year olds love Tommy and his fabulous voice. (He’s so handsome.)   Let us not forget the laughs all enjoyed with Uncle Floyd Vivino and the Really Big Burlesque Show Troupe.

I can’t say enough about Sue.  Whenever I have any problem, she quickly solves it.  From seating problems to a meal with special needs, she is always there to fix it.

One request - Marilyn, you have a lovely voice, can we not hear more of it?  And we love your beautiful new location, The Royal Manor.  It is spacious, comfortable and easy to get around.  

Ace In The Hole is a perfect day out in these hard times.

"On Thursday, April 22, 2010, I enjoyed one of the greatest experiences of my life.

I attended the Ace In The Hole Production of “American Bandstand” – featuring Joey & Doreen Arminio and The Family. I’m 71 years old and, when I was a teenager, I used to run home from school to watch Dick Clark’s American Bandstand. I sang the songs with the guest stars, I silently voted on new records, and watched the “kids” dancing on Bandstand – I loved it.

Well, Joey & Doreen’ Arminio’s Rock & Roll dance party brought me right back to those days. I had a ball at Joey & Doreen’s show, and with two fabulous girls dancing and singing with Doreen, it was one of the best performances I’ve ever seen. They were outstanding, great singing and dancing like Rockettes.

But most of all, the man who put it all together, Joey Arminio, is a very talented musician, singer and actor. And I had the great pleasure of enjoying Joey do it all that day at Ace In The Hole.

With Joey playing a great saxophone, and the beautiful Doreen singing and dancing with the two girls – The Family gave us a show like we’ve never seen before.

As I did many years ago, I sang the songs and, with this show, I tapped my feet, cheered, whistled and applauded like I haven’t done in years. Their choice of those great oldies songs brought back so many wonderful memories, I felt like a teenager again.

Thank you, Ace In The Hole, for bringing great music, a great show with Joey & Doreen Arminio and The Family, and for giving me the thrill of a lifetime.

You’re the greatest “Ace” – keep up the great music and fabulous shows"

Dear Marilyn and Will,

On Tuesday December 1st, my husband and I attended the Christmas program at Ace in the Hole, in the Brownstone, along with other members of our Northampton Township Senior Center.

It was absolutely wonderful and we loved everything about it, from the beautiful banquet hall decorated for a Christmas celebration to a delicious and plentiful dinner, not to mention a lovely boutique and a fabulous show. We loved the singer, and were really wowed with the selection of Christmas songs. The comedian was really funny and the magic act was great too!!

We were really impressed by Marilyn Roy’s welcoming remarks and her acknowledgement of the veterans who were present, as well as those serving our country right now.

The whole day was perfect, and we plan on coming back real soon!!

"Ace in The Hole...Partying on in '06"

Ace in The Hole party hosts Marilyn & Will Roy waved good-bye to the old year in gala style with two different shows. A 'Christmas Around The World' gathering featured the voice of renowned soprano Mary Mancini, who got a standing ovation for her treatment of traditional carols. Their 'Happy New Year Gala' at the Brownstone in Paterson featured hilarious comic Danny Curtis, zany Bob Leive and his Amazing Wooster Street Trolley Band, and Uncle Floyd Vivino who provided non-stop laughter with his slightly naughty stories and songs. Cari Roy, a surprise addition to the program, added a pleasant 'Y'all' touch to a host of lovely songs that topped off the evening.

Ace in The Hole has about 20 theme parties scheduled for 2006 at both The Tides in North Haledon and The Brownstone in Paterson.

"I am writing this letter to let you know how much the Baltimore Chapter of Club Dejouir and Friends enjoyed the food, entertainment, drinks and wonderful service on February 24, 2005 at the Brownstone Mansion. We had such a wonderful day. Our special thanks for allowing our two buses to depart for Baltimore before the other patrons due to severe weather conditions.

Also special thanks to Marcello who waited on our table because he was simply great. We will definitely return in the very near future."

"It's a Small World"

While vacationing in Indian Wells in the California desert we waited for two friends to join us for dinner. Imagine our unbelievable surprise when my friend Joe began talking about a restaurant showplace he often visits in New Jersey. The showplace? The Brownstone in Paterson. The entertainment? Marilyn and Will Roy's famed "Ace in The Hole" production group!

Nearly falling off my chair, I couldn't believe what I just heard. Joe went on thinking he was the only person present who knew about this duo's dynamite entertainment and the terrific shows and luncheons put on at two catering sites, The Tides in North Haledon and The Brownstone in Paterson.

I knew Marilyn and Will Roy for many years and I thought to myself how neat it was that "ACE's" creative and entertaining luncheon shows were so far reaching...even in California.

My friends are visiting New Jersey in a few months...where do they want to go and what do they want to see? An Ace in The Hole live program of course!
